Angelos Gorgas & Panagoitis Kousounadis - WIKF world champions in 2 successive tournaments were well received at the Unite for Japan Martial Aid event held in London Sunday 22nd May 2011. They travelled to London all the way from Greece at the request of Professor Tatsuo Suzuki (PHD) Hanshi. Several martial arts groups gathered to put on a spectacular demonstration of their traditional Japanese styles to raise money for the Japanese Red Cross who are fighting to help Japan recover from the devastating disaster they suffered in March 2011. Thanks to all of those who donated and made the WIKF's contribution a healthy sum to the total raised. Thanks also to Sensei, who drilled Angelos & Panagoitis the day before in his true style to ensure the standard was the highest attainable. Like all of Sensei's students, they will go home with that everlasting phrase 'Again, again, again...' ringing in their memory as he is unrelenting in his instructions to repeat and train techniques until they are alive in performance.
Well done to Glyn & Dale Simkins and their team Help 4 Heroes Saturday the 12th of September 2009.
Thanks also to those of you who suupported the event by way of attending and donations made. Aquila Charities donated towards their grand total of £7,500. Wow, well done all of you.
